The Rio Grande Valley's Nature Site

Rio Grande Valley Natural History Links:

The Lower Rio Grande Valley natural history is indeed special.  It is a given that many of the LRGV birds, LRGV butterflies, LRGV dragonflies and LRGV native plants are exclusive and unique to the Rio Grande Valley and nowhere else.  However, there are other diverse Rio Grande Valley vertebrates and Rio Grande Valley invertebrates that are also special and interesting--again, many occurring only in the Lower Rio Grande Valley.  Come and enjoy the Rio Grande Valley reptiles and the Rio Grande Valley amphibians, also.

Many of our RGV snakes, RGV turtles, RGV frogs, RGV toads, RGV lizards, and RGV salamanders can be found with just a little effort.  These links should not only help in identifying, studying and learning more about the LRGV natural history and the RGV environment, but also help you learn about the ecosystems around you, wherever you are.  The total RGV natural history makes for a very rewarding experience.

Venga por favor al Valle y disfrute de nuestra fauna y plantas y historia natural.
